Catering
We are able to offer an excellent variety of delicious, nutritionally balanced food, drinks and snacks through a three-week menu rotation. We pride ourselves on providing high-quality, fresh food prepared and cooked by our in-house team daily.Students can purchase food from our lower dining centre before school with break time from 9.50am and lunch time from 12.10am, Monday to Friday.
Cashless system
At Bournside, we operate a biometric cashless catering system for students that can be added onto by parents and guardians by logging into and making a payment via MyChildAtSchool (MCAS). Here you will be able to see what is being purchased, set spending limits and make us aware of any specific dietary restrictions.
Free School Meals
The free school entitlement is £4.50. £1.00 of this is available to be spent at breakfast before school. Additional money can be added to the student’s account by the method mentioned above.
Dining Centres
We have two large dining centres, able to hold 500 students. Our lunchtime period is divided into separate periods for KS4 and KS5. This benefits our students in many ways; giving students enough time to queue for their lunch and eat, to socialise with friends, and to ensure there is enough space for everyone.
Pitstop Cafe
Our Sixth Form-only café provides a vibrant social space for students to work and relax. Serving barista-style coffee and hot drinks, hot and cold snack food - including bacon sandwiches, paninis, pizzas and salads - the café is open throughout the day during school hours.
