Virtual Summer Music Concert 2021

"Welcome to our virtual summer concert, which celebrates and showcases the musical talent of our amazing students. The students have worked so hard over the past two terms, preparing for what we'd hoped would be a live concert. Unfortunately Covid restrictions have got in the way. In its place however, we are delighted to bring you a virtual concert filled to the brim with incredible work.

Team Transcend reach regional Young Enterprise Final
10 Jul
Congratulations to our Year 12 Young Enterprise team who reached the South West and Mid Wales final of the national Young Enterprise competition with their popular ‘Post-box Posies’ business, offering handmade and delivered faux flowers. With a turnover of over £3000 and a profit of £550, the sustainably sourced student business was recognised for the developing a brand built on honesty and trust. The judges were 'blown away by the teams' resilience, teamwork and perseverance." Leo Kelly, Head of Business at Cheltenham Bournside School said, “Working with Young Enterprise helps to give our students the life skills, knowledge and confidence they need to succeed in the changing world of work, and this year has been no exception. We’re so proud of Team Transcend; they developed a really strong brand offering an excellent product, all during a pandemic.

Bournside Community comes together for Annual Christmas ConcertNew Page
A wonderful Christmas concert was held on Wednesday 13th December in the magnificent surroundings of St Matthew’s Church in Cheltenham. Mr Cutress, Head of Music, shared his thoughts on the evening: "The Christmas Concert is always one of my favourite days of the year, and 2023 was no different. The evening was filled with brilliant, varied performances that showcased the amazing talents of our students who have been working so hard over the first part of the year on these performances, a special shout out has to go two members of our orchestra in Year 11 and 12, Ruth Capewell and Anna Hyde-White, who arranged pieces to be performed by the orchestra." "Not only was the quality sky high but it was also the biggest concert in terms of numbers with over 120 students taking part. Above all else, the Christmas Concert represents a huge sense of community as we bring together current students, staff, alumni, parents and wider members of our school community, who were not only present last night but also played a role in a number of performances.
