Women in Science Festival

Our year 12 female science students visited Cambridge University for the Women in Science Festival on Monday 24th September. They listened to inspirational female scientists explaining, among other things, nano technology, what is light and how science can help Formula 1 racing drivers who have suffered concussion at Silverstone. Students also made a crash helmet for an egg!

The Women in Science Festival gives participating students the opportunity to get a taste of university life, gain insight and be inspired by leading female Cambridge academics, and explore the broad spectrum of STEM subjects that the University offers.
