78% of our students remain in sustained education or apprenticeship, with 92% successfully accessing sustained education, apprenticeship or employment placing us above both the National and County average (DfE, 2017)
The sixth form prepares students well for their next steps.
The large majority of students in the sixth form complete their 16-19 study programmes successfully.
Our Year 13 Education for Life programme prepares our students for their futures through personalised support for either applying to university or entering employment. University applicants’ Education for Life lessons include support on gaining part-time work, understanding student accommodation and student finance as well as how to protect themselves, live healthily and participate in politics whilst at university, and beyond.
Our Early Applicant Programme offers additional support throughout Year 12 for students who wish to make an Oxbridge, Medicine, Veterinary, Dentistry or a non-UK application. As well as application mentoring and preparation in the final term of Year 12, events run throughout the year ”“ whether it is speakers visiting the school, from Harvard to Cambridge, or an Early Applicant visit to Oxford university.
