Head of Sixth Form’s Blog – September 2018

Welcome to a new year in the Sixth Form! After a fantastic set of A level results this summer, which saw us equalling our highest ever Level 3 Value Added score, the new Sixth Form year has certainly started with pace and purpose.

Women in Science Festival

Our year 12 science students visited Cambridge Universitys Women in Science Festival on Monday 24th September, where they listened to inspirational talks from leading female scientists, mathematicians, and engineers.

It has been an extremely settled and purposeful start to the new school year at Bournside. Our new students in year 7 have been busy getting to know the layout of their new school and we are delighted with the way that they have begun their time with us, already making their contribution to our school in lots of positive ways.
