Sixth Form Awards Ceremony

On Thursday 15th December the school hosted its annual Sixth Form awards ceremony.

This is a wonderful festive event, full of celebration and recognition of achievement. We award current year 13 for their achievements across their first year of study and our Sixth Form leavers who have now gone on to start at University, apprenticeship or employment.

Every year we invite a guest speaker to help present awards and speak to our students, parents and staff. This year we welcomed Andy Lewis, Paralympic Triathlon gold medallist, who shared his story and recipe for success. Ed Neville, a former student and member of our school Alumni also joined staff, students and parents and shared his journey of success, which started at Cheltenham Bournside School.

Mike Stratford, Head of Sixth Form, said “this is just a brilliant event. It’s timely and humbling to stop and reflect on the wonderful achievements of our students. To bring together so many people from the Bournside community and have an evening of celebration and laughter, is the perfect start to the festive break.”
