On Friday 25th November Bournside School held their annual Multi Skills Festival. Due to the fantastic reputation of the event, and the outstanding commitment by year 10, the festival this year was the largest to date. Eight of the primary schools local to Bournside attended, each school bringing its year 1 and 2 pupils. Over the course of the day, 527 primary pupils took part in 21 different sporting activities.
The Multi Skills festival is a leadership event which looks at supporting and developing participants abilities in agility, balance, and coordination. It also gives participants the opportunity to take part in a variety of sporting activities including Paralympic games such as Boccia. All activities were planned, organised and delivered by 50 of our level 2 sports leaders. The students had carefully planned their sessions to focus on inclusion for all, and the sessions were adapted to suit the wide range of abilities.
