Ciara’s Dancing Award

Following three sell-out performances at The Playhouse Theatre with her Irish dance group, Celtic Circle, Ciara was awarded the trophy for dedication, commitment and outstanding achievement. For Ciara, Irish dancing started as a hobby when she was 4-5 years old. She has been part of several clubs but joined The Playhouse when she moved to Cheltenham with her parents.

The Celtic Circle only present one trophy, so for Ciara to be selected out of over 100 other students is an amazing achievement. One of her teachers is also a dancer with Riverdance and the school leader is an ex-champion Irish dancer, so to be recognised by them is particularly commendable. Ciara says she was shocked to win the award as it wasn’t something she was expecting.

She intends to continue dancing in the future both as a hobby that she enjoys and as a form of exercise.
