House Matches

Every year we provide students the opportunity to represent their house and earn points by taking part in several sporting competitions. The more house points they earn, the closer they get to lifting the house cup at the end of the year.

Before houses can compete they need to submit a team formed from their tutor groups.Teams then nominate a team captain who has the responsibility of making sure their team is on time for each game. The matches are run during the day over two lessons with staff and sports leaders umpiring the games. Each game lasts 7-10 minutes one way, matches are played using a grid system which allows for all teams to play each other.

Once a team has completed their match they will be awarded the following points:

Win = 5 points, Lose = 0 points, Draw = 3 points.

If a team finishes on the same score as another, umpires turn to the score difference, the team conceding less goals and achieving more goals than the other team would be given the win.
